Register for our Advocacy Boot Camp for Physicians on Oct. 6!

Plan to attend on Thursday evening, October 6th!

Virtually, 7:00 - 9:00 pm

Advocacy is the main pillar of why OSMA exists and why physicians join. OSMA has recently restructured and refined the advocacy process internally and externally to allow our members to have easy, more effective, and clearly-defined ways to get involved and make an impact.

For two hours in the evening on Oct. 6, all OSMA members will be able to participate. We will be covering the specifics of how policy is made in Ohio and the variety of ways you can participate in the process. Advocacy can be as simple as helping review language in a medical board rule on telehealth, to testifying in person on a key legislative proposal. You will also hear from OSMA staff and physician leadership, and be able to ask questions about how to become an advocate.

Our event outline also includes how the Ohio legislative process and regulatory agencies work and in what ways the OSMA advocates within each area. Additionally, our Boot Camp session will teach specific tactics regarding how to advocate on behalf of the physician profession, how to testify, how to communicate with elected officials, how to read a bill, etc. Graduates of the Advocacy Boot-Camp with be provided a completion certificate at the conclusion of the session recognizing them as an OSMA Advocate.

In addition, you can also commit to participating in our OSMA Advocacy Committees >
