MIPS Value Pathways – Newest Reporting Option for 2023

Starting this year, your practice now has a third option for the Merit Based Incentive Payment System Reporting (MIPS).

In addition to the existing traditional MIPS or APM Performance Pathway (APP), you can now also select the MIPS Value Pathway (MVP). As defined by CMS “MVPs are a new, voluntary way to meet MIPS reporting requirements." Each MVP includes a subset of measures and activities that are related to a specialty or medical condition to offer more meaningful participation in MIPS. CMS has extensive materials and guidance related to the new program and tools to evaluate if it is a good fit for your practice.
