  • “The Ohio Healthcare Provider Medical Marijuana Course Bundle for Certification” 3 CME/CE credits

  • “The Ohio Healthcare Provider Medical Marijuana Course Bundle for Certification PLUS” 5 CME/CE credits

Both courses introduce the reader to the endocannabinoid system and its interaction with the components of the cannabis plant, and address administration, therapeutic use, drug metabolism, physiologic and cognitive effects, potential risks, and drug interactions. The use of marijuana in obstetric, pediatric, adolescent and elderly patients is addressed in detail, too. Also, considerations for patients with ischemic heart disease, hepatic disease, psychotic illness, and/or a history of drug dependence are provided. The “PLUS” course also addresses the use of CBD in clinical care, and assists clinicians with counseling CBD consumers.

Learners who choose “The Ohio Healthcare Provider Medical Marijuana Course Bundle for Certification” can earn up to 3.0 AMA PRA Category 1™ credits, and learners who choose the “PLUS” can earn up to 5.0 AMA PRA Category 1™ credits. Content also provides Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and American General Dentistry (AGD) credits, so other clinicians in your practice can earn credits while learning about medical marijuana.
